My recent stay at The Lodge At Nakoma was nice, though not without its flaws. The staff was exceptionally friendly and made me feel welcome, yet the noise from the nearby road was quite disruptive during the night. While the facilities, like the hot tub and pool, were enjoyable, the separate location of amenities made it a bit inconvenient.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious, but it felt designed for one person. I appreciated the comfortable bed but found the lack of furniture arrangements challenging, especially with limited space for my things.
Service
10.0
The staff members I interacted with, such as Fran and Linda at the front desk, were charming and professional, making my experience much more pleasant.
Location

Unfortunately, the lodge is very close to the main road, which meant I had a lot of noise during the night. The view wasn't what I expected, either – mainly parking lots or the golf course, depending on the room.
Dining
6.0
While the bistro offered a limited menu and decent food, I found the breakfast options lacking, especially during the week. I did enjoy some crisp salads, but dining wasn't a highlight.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities like the pool and spa were great, though they were a bit of a trek up a hill from my room, which was inconvenient for casual access.

Service was mixed; while some staff were friendly, others could definitely use more hospitality training. I encountered issues with my reservation that took time to resolve.

The location is stunning in the Sierras but being just 40 feet off the highway meant road noise was an issue during my stay.

My stay at The Lodge At Nakoma had its ups and downs. The beautiful mountain location was a highlight, providing stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. However, the amenities in my room were lacking, with a noisy AC and minimal supplies, which made for a restless couple of nights. On the bright side, the dining experience was fantastic with great food and drink options.

Rooms

The room was spacious but lacked basic amenities like coffee and had a noisy AC, which made it hard to sleep.

The customer service could definitely use improvement, as my concerns went unanswered after multiple attempts to reach out.

Great recreational facilities like a pool and gym, but the dining hours could be more accommodating, especially for golfers.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at The Lodge At Nakoma. While the resort has a pleasant atmosphere and a comfortable bed, I faced significant issues with my reservation and the placement of the lodge near a busy highway. The golf course offered a challenging experience, but overall, I left feeling disappointed. 😕

Rooms

The room was spacious and comfortable, but it felt designed for one person. The layout had a few inefficiencies, like a lack of end tables and towel racks.
Service
5.0
While the staff was friendly, the front desk was not empowered to address issues effectively, resulting in a frustrating experience with my reservation.
Location
5.0
The lodge's proximity to the highway means you hear a lot of road noise, which detracts from the otherwise beautiful mountain setting.
Dining
6.0
Dining options included Sicilian pastries, but I found the amenities across the street too inconvenient to enjoy easily.
Facilities
5.0
Though the facilities like the golf course and pool were nice, they were separated from the main lodge, making access a hassle.
